Boat and Paddle Demos

We carry quite a few different models of outrigger canoes and surfskis; so how do you know which one is right for you?  

Buying a new canoe is a big investment, and our goal is to help you find the best boat for YOU. The best way to decide is to try all the boats that suit your height and weight, back to back, so you can really feel the difference. You will perform the best in the boat that feels most comfortable to you, and since we all come in different shapes and sizes, the comfort factor is different for everyone!  Bring your GPS and heart rate monitor if you like.

We also encourage you to demo our Puakea and Palafamala paddles.

Hana Hou Paddlesports carries demo boats for almost all the OC1, OC2 and surfski models we sell.  We can arrange to do a private demo for you here in Comox pretty much all year round (no cost and no obligation); and during non-pandemic years, we endeavour to do at least one open demo day in Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna.  For larger groups (clubs, etc.) we are also happy to come to you for a demo day at your location.
